Seven Lessons From Reaching the Seven Figure Earners Club in SaaS Sales

Ok, can you saw AWKWARD?!!! 😳

Mama always said it’s not polite to talk about money, let alone brag about it. Let me be the first to assure you that this is not a boast or a humblebrag post, and one I had to wrestle with writing for a while.

However, what got me over this bout of hesitancy was the fact that in my profession of Sales, achieving the coveted seven figure annual earnings milestone is a highly sought after target that should be celebrated, but is rarely discussed.

For most salespeople, it’s a fluke. A one-time gift from the heavens, never to be repeated.

Why the hell is that?!

Now, certainly this is new territory for me, but just like when reaching six figures for the first time, that became the new norm. My expectation was to always maintain and/or grow that income year-over-year.

My intent here is to openly question and analyze the anatomy of the seven figure earnings year in an attempt to make it repeatable. This becomes the new norm with the expectation that I can repeat it and consistently grow it based on stellar performance, while others can do the same and share their insights and methods here collectively.
