Back in 2019, I was a road warrior logging nearly 300,000 miles of travel a year.

However, I was just as productive on the road as I was in my state-of-the-art home office. Here was my system for better open office work, when I needed to be there:

1/ Use a pair of good noise-canceling headphones

This signals Iโ€™m striving for flow state โ€” DND!

2/ Use the Pomodoro Technique

Set a timer for 25 minutes, and then take a break for 5 minute and then 15 minutes after the 3rd cycle, and on the 15 minute break, I allow myself to interact w/ others.

3/ Turned my iPad into a 2nd monitor

Signifies Iโ€™m ready for serious business to others, but allows me to not miss out on the type of productivity I get from my home studio setup)

4/ Move often and take breaks

Hydrate โ†’ Fresh air โ†’ Repeat

Remember:

With the right personal operating system in place you can maintain the same level of focus from at-home work with the energy and serendipitous sparks of office work.

Thatโ€™s being truly hybrid without sacrificing quality output!
